My current research is mainly focused on investigating and improving ways for developing quality software. I am currently involved in solving software engineering problems largely by leveraging artificial intelligence in software testing domain. The main focus is on automating testing by minimizing the human effort involved in the process. Moreover, I will also continue to strengthen my existing focal areas of my research like using concept of transfer learning in defect prediction and evaluating test methods for improving the efficacy (effectiveness and efficiency) of the testing process. As a part of collaborative research, I also continue research in software engineering education area wherein we largely investigate the key challenges and possible solutions for better engineering education.

To date, this research has led 32 Refereed papers published in International Journals and Conference Proceedings. Two Books and one book chapter has also been published by me in reputed international and national publishing houses. I have an h-index of 12 and my articles have been cited 528 times on Google Scholar.

I was General Chair of Conference on Software Engineering and Data Sciences (CoSEDS 2018) organized by North Campus, University of Kashmir. Besides i am co-organizer of Workshop on Software Engineering Education (WESEE) since its inception in 2018. I was Track Chair of ACM Student Research Competition (SRC) to be held at 15th Innovations in Software Engineering Conference (ISEC 2022), Feb 24-26, 2022 at DA-IICT Gandhinagar, India.

Besides being member of ACM, I am the Senior member of various software engineering societies like SIGSE, IACSIT SES, IAENG SES. I also serve as a reviewer for various journals indexed in WoS and Scopus.I also served in several program committees like A-Test 2015,A-Test 2016, IndiaCom 2017 etc.
