Next-generation networks, particularly Software-Defined Networking (SDN), represent a watershed moment in the evolution of telecommunications and information technology. SDN’s revolutionary architecture not only simplifies network management but also fosters innovation and agility. By separating the control and data planes, SDN allows for centralized management and orchestration, enabling dynamic adaptation to changing traffic patterns and application requirements. Moreover, SDN's programmable nature empowers organizations to tailor their networks to specific needs, whether it's optimizing performance, enhancing security, or facilitating the deployment of emerging technologies like IoT and 5G. As SDN continues to mature, it promises to unlock new possibilities in network customization, automation, and intelligence, reshaping the digital landscape for years to come. My research interests focus on these possibilities in order to simplify the operation and management of Next Generation Networks.
