Message from the Coordinator
It is my privilege to welcome you all to the newly
established research centre at North Campus, University of Kashmir.
At the outset, I along with the faculty express heartfelt thanks to the Hon’ble
Vice Chancellor, Professor Talat Ahmad and the ex-Dean Research, Professor
Shakil Ahmad Romshoo for granting North Campus the status of an
independent research centre. I equally thank Professor Pervez Ahmad, Director
of North Campus, for his perseverance and valuable efforts. This has made
year 2021a very
significant year in the history of our Campus as one of its long pending
demands has finally been fulfilled. We know that research centres are the backbone of any academic institute’s future growth and development. In view of this fact, the creation of a separate research centre here in the North will definitely give boost to research activities and will make this Campus more meaningful and vibrant. No doubt we are beset with a number of challenges but our dedication, hard work and innovative research work will enable us to overcome them all.
This centre will now cater to the needs of all
departments here at this Campus. It will welcome innovative research proposals
and ideas. It will surely benefit the society and will contribute by being a
hub of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research activities. I promise
all those who will join us as researchers that we will provide them the best. I
conclude with the famous quote of Neil Armstrong who says: “Research is creating new knowledge”.
